What You Will Do
The Instructional Designer/Trainer is responsible for designing and developing instructional materials that are functional, intuitive, informative, interactive, and consistent with sound instructional design principles to support software training. The successful candidate demonstrates and utilizes industry best practices for learning needs analysis, project management, and curriculum development to define learning objectives, create course content and learning tools, and establish criteria for evaluating effectiveness of training activities.
Design and develop learning materials for both internal and external audiences:
Design and develop training and assessment materials for multiple delivery formats, including instructor-led classroom training, instructor-led virtual training, eLearning (tutorials, videos, job-aids), and conference events.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop content that is aligned with customer needs and our product releases. Team with staff from other departments to develop content most efficiently by sharing up-to-date information about product features, functions, and performance.
Collaborate with subject-matter experts to plan and develop training goals, objectives, and all course materials for individual courses, course series, and events.
Ensure all materials adhere to principles of instructional design and interactive usability per customer needs.

Experience using eLearning authoring tools to develop online learning courses. Articulate 360 and Camtasia experience a plus.
Experience independently interviewing stakeholders and subject matter experts at all levels of an organization.
Experience with Trimble Viewpoint's Spectrum software a plus.
