We are seeking an experienced and strategic Director of Human Resources to join our established team and contribute to the overall success of the organization.

The HR Director will play a pivotal role in shaping and leading all aspects of the human resources function within the organization focusing on both critical initiatives and day-to-day operations. This includes developing and implementing HR strategies, policies and procedures, recruitment and talent acquisition, employee integration plans for company acquisitions, employee relations, employee and leadership development, performance management, compensation, payroll, and benefits administration, and maintaining compliance with relevant employment laws and regulations. The successful candidate will play a key role in driving workplace culture and supporting the company's strategic objectives. This position will strike a balance of driving long-term organizational goals and ensuring the well-being and engagement of our employee-owners and HR team.

This position leads a team of seven and joins our Enterprise Leadership Team (ELT) reporting to our CEO and works closely with the ELT members in an organization which thrives on collaboration and communication. Our preference is for this position to be based out of the Greater Seattle area. However, we are open to considering exceptional candidates outside of Washington who are committed to travel for team mentorship, leadership collaboration and meetings, and to support company culture and initiatives.


Focus of the Position

You are a strategic HR leader who can:

* Promote growth within the HR team aligned with the company's vision and strategic plan.

* Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with the company's business objectives in coordination with our operations and Senior Vice Presidents.

* Provides guidance on leadership development, organizational design, workforce, and succession planning.

* Develop and implement effective strategies for employee recruitment and retention, career development, and performance management.

* Foster a positive and inclusive workplace culture through effective communication, performance management and employee engagement initiatives.

* Create, update, and communicate HR strategies, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and alignment with company direction and culture.

* Lead the administration of compensation and our self-funded benefits programs.

* Conduct regular market analyses to benchmark and adjust compensation and benefits offerings and partner with company leadership in identifying strategic approaches to keeping compensation and benefits competitive/class leading.

* Coordinates directly with our DEI Director and DEI committee to promote equity in the workplace and respond to the DEI needs of our clients.

* Promote a culture of professional development and clearly defined career paths and growth opportunities.

Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field and/or equivalent education and experience. Master's degree is a plus.

* 10 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role, showcasing a balance between critical thinking and operational effectiveness. AEC industry experience highly preferred.

* Solid knowledge of federal and state employment laws and regulations.

* Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills.

* Proven ability to develop and implement HR strategies that support business objectives.

* Effectively balance our employees, leadership, and the needs of the business.

* Strategic problem solver with the ability to inspire change and innovation.

Base salary for this position is in the range of $180-$220K+. Compensation will be determined based on education, experience, location, and role. For all positions we conduct an equity review. Employee-owners are all eligible for performance-based bonuses based on key contributions. Salaries are reviewed at least once annually as part of our compensation program. We are transparent in our salary discussions and look forward to sharing more about our compensation structure and the value of being an employee-owner.
