Laurelhurst Village On Call Dietary Aide

An organized kitchen is necessary in order for our residents and patients to receive the highest quality meals possible, and that all starts with you! As a Dishwasher, your primary role will be to maintain a safe, clean, and organized kitchen alongside other members of the team.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Always put the health and safety of our residents, patients, and coworkers above all else.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized kitchen by performing daily tasks, such as washing dishes, pots, and pans, serving equipment, sweeping, mopping, sanitizing, performing deep cleans, and stocking dishes and utensils.
  • Carry out trash and keep work areas clean and sanitized.
  • Use machine and manual cleaning methods to scrub serving equipment such as pots, pans, and other kitchen equipment that cannot be washed automatically
  • Obtain food supplies for the next meal. Prepare drink and food carts for meal service; deliver and retrieve serving carts to all dining areas pre and post-meal service.
  • Return clean utensils to proper storage areas and maintain a clean, dry work environment free of hazardous conditions or equipment. Report all hazardous conditions and equipment to the supervisor immediately. Report all accidents to the supervisor on the shift in which they occur.
  • Receive and stock food deliveries and supplies
  • Distribute and collect menus as necessary

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • No experience is required, we will train you.
  • Must have or be able to obtain Food Handler's Card within 30 days of employment.
  • Must be able to push, pull, move, and/or lift a minimum of 25 lbs to a minimum of 5ft. Must be able to push, pull, move, and/or carry such weight to a minimum distance of 50ft.
  • May be necessary to assist in the evacuation of residents during emergency situations.
