Pay Range: $25/hr. to $28.50/hr. DOE and Seniority with Prestige Care: Job Title: Payroll Specialist Work Location: Prestige Corporate Office Vancouver, WA Status: Non-Exempt Hours: 40 hours per week Time: 8:00am - 5:00pm Days: Monday - Friday Position Details: * Salary: 25.00 - 28.50 Hourly POSITION SUMMARY: The Payroll Specialist provides effective delivery of payroll services for assigned locations in compliance with company policy and federal and state wage and hour laws and regulations. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: * Manages payroll services for assigned locations, including processing payroll, tracking documentation and reviewing payroll changes. * Provides exemplary customer service to team members by answering payroll questions and resolving payroll issues. * Completes bi-weekly payroll closing by ensuring all items are accurately entered, approved and meet the payroll deadline. * Reviews assigned locations' payroll records for accuracy, payroll deductions and required approvals. * Processes manual checks in a timely manner including issuing final pay checks in accordance with state and federal wage and hour laws. * Provides training and ongoing support on payroll systems, policies and procedures to field payroll representatives including Office Managers and Human Resources Payroll Coordinators. * Processes Personnel Action Notices (PAN) and maintains employee records in payroll system for assigned locations. * Participates in continuous process improvements of payroll programs and services to drive comprehensive results. * Collaborates with other departments including accounting, human resources, legal, and IT to ensure data integrity, proper accounting allocations and accruals, and payroll compliance with employment laws and union contracts. * Maintains professional knowledge of payroll practices. Practices technical and professional self-development including staying informed on regulatory changes, wage and hour laws and payroll trends. * Completes payroll projects and reports as requested. * Other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE: Minimum of one year of payroll experience. Proven ability to understand and process payroll in accordance with payroll policies and procedures. Knowledge of wage and hour laws and experience with payroll taxes and garnishments required. Strong organizational and communication skills including working with field representatives. Solid experience with payroll systems. Proficient in Microsoft Excel. EDUCATION: High school diploma, GED or equivalent knowledge and skills obtained through a combination of education, training and experience. SNF/PCI Hourly: Full-time and Part-Time team members (over 20 hours/week) accrue PTO at rate of 0.0423/hour during their first year.:::
