The salary range for this role is:

$103,477.92 - $175,783.92

Responsibilities:

The role of the Customer Planning & Insights (CP&I) Manager is responsible for supporting essential sales organization activities.

This individual leads key activities including: measurement of sales performance and bonus program details; manages regular sales communication and the digital file management system in which all sales materials are located; leads the annual National Sales Meeting for DMFI; manages executive conference participation; and acts as a key participant in planning processes (i.e., AOP, LRP), among others.

He/She is responsible for the coordination of content and summary of key internal meetings including the Sales Leadership Team and Sales All Hands Team meetings.

The CP&I Manager works closely and supports sales leadership on special projects and has a high degree of visibility within the organization. The person in this role must have strong business acumen, excellent communication skills, burgeoning leadership and managerial skills, strong critical thinking capabilities and must be able to learn and adapt quickly

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Coordination, Management, and Communication:
    • Ensures the timely deployment of planning materials to Field Sales including weekly communication, new product news, and strategic initiative updates
    • Manages Sales SharePoint Site communication, structure, and hierarchy
    • Develops and automates reporting to provide viability to Sales organization's progress toward achieving all key deliverables (volume, spending, profit & MAPS)
    • Manages the planning and execution of the annual DMFI National Sales Meeting
    • Manages the monthly Sales All Hands meeting agenda and content development
    • Coordinates and manages industry conference participation, complete with events materials, sampling events, room design and set up, among others
    • Participates in bi-weekly Sales Leadership Team Meetings, capturing content and assisting in meeting management
    • Assist with the development and deployment of AOP, Quota and MBOs
    • Supports, and often leads, ad hoc projects in support of Executive and Sales Leadership projects and needs, including Board of Director, ELT and Investor relations information
  • Strategy Development and Execution:Supports VP, CP&I and works with cross functional leaders within CP&I (i.e., Customer Strategy & Planning and Category Insights) to translate, integrate and activate Del Monte strategies into customer-level business plans that meet or exceed AOP/LRP goals. Helps build plans in partnership with leaders in Customer Development, Sales, Marketing, Finance, Demand Planning, HR, and Supply Chain
  • Trade Spending Oversight: Helps oversee trade spending, continually improving process and reporting capability to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of the ~$500MM budget across all retail sales
  • Organizational Improvement:
    • Supports VP, CP&I and Chief Customer Officer (CCO) in continued efforts to improve organizational effectiveness
    • Partners with HR and Audit team to identify proper bonus results for all sales associates for midyear and annual SIP program earnings
    • Supports strategic imperatives for the sales team and CP&I to assist in driving the sales agenda and process improvements for the entire sales organization
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • 3+ years sales experience in CPG industry
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent Excel and analytical skills
  • Strong capabilities in Circana and/or Nielsen
  • Ability to work cross functionally and collaborate well with others
  • Strong critical thinking skills with strengths in ingenuity, problem solving, and ability to manage multiple items simultaneously
  • Possess poise and maturity as this manager participates in high level internal meetings as well as midlevel and C-Suite level industry/customer meetings
  • Some travel involved, particularly during the planning of the National Sales Meeting (NSM)
