Job Description
Flux Resources is seeking Water Quality Specialist - Seniors to assist with potential FEMA PA Tac 5 opportunities.

Job Description:
  • The Engineer will develop cost-effective measures to eliminate or reduce future damages to damaged facilities.
  • Develop measures to reduce repetitive damage-to-damage public facilities in accordance with Section 205 of the Disaster Mitigation Act of 2000, provide technical experience to applicants in developing measures to reduce repetitive damage to damaged facilities and cost-effective mitigation measures for damaged facilities in accordance with FEMA's policies and regulations, and evaluate the effectiveness of mitigation measures that have been implemented in accordance with approved Hazard Mitigation Proposals.
  • Write reports, scopes of work and detailed correspondence with respect to program parameters and 406 Mitigation proposals.
  • Develop agendas, conduct meetings, and record action items.
  • Develop cost-effective measures to eliminate or reduce future damages to damaged facilities specifically, to reduce repetitive damage-to-damage public facilities in accordance with Section 205 of the Disaster Mitigation Act of 2000.
  • The contractor shall also evaluate effectiveness of mitigation measures that have been implemented in accordance with approved Hazard Mitigation Proposals

The Engineers are preferred to:
?Have knowledge of the FEMA Mitigation Programs and requirements, including conducting cost-benefit analysis of mitigation strategies using FEMA -approved BCA software or methodology.
?Have the ability to provide technical assistance to internal and external stakeholders including applicants seeking FEMA disaster assistance, including knowledge with
FEMA's laws, regulations and policies governing repair, replacement and hazard mitigation.
?Familiarity with RS Means, CostWorks and FEMA's Cost Estimating Format as it applies to projects and HMGP development.
?FEMA BCA 4.8 Software or higher

Minimum Qualifications:
* Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in Civil Engineering/Hydrologist/Construction Management or related field.
* Five (5) years of increasingly responsible civil engineering experience, including two (3) years in Benefit Cost Analyst of Public/Non-Profit/Government projects.
* Preferred possession of current registration as a Professional Engineer
