Introduction to the job

ASML is a high-tech lithography equipment manufacturer within the semiconductor industry that enables the world's leading microchip companies to produce more powerful, faster and energy efficient microchips used in consumer products such as laptops, tablets, and smart devices that we all use every day!

ASML's supply chain division is continuously aiming to better serve our customers through on-time deliveries, first time quality and high performing lithography machines. This division is instrumental in supporting the installation of new machines, upgrading and enhancing existing machines and relocating machines for our customers. These machines are highly complex and operated in a cleanroom environment creating extremely demanding requirements for the supply chain processes, driven by the sensitivity of the parts (cleanroom handling only), the strict needs to minimize machine downtime and the constantly changing specifications of machines. The goal is to establish a true "field factory" set-up allowing the engineers to perform the installation, upgrade and relocation with maximum efficiency and minimum downtime.

This role will prepare and manage the customer supply chain to install, upgrade and relocate ASML's newest cutting-edge EUV/EXE lithography machines. Therefore, we are looking for very ambitious talent who demonstrates leadership skills and would thrive in a fast-paced, ambiguous, challenging, and highly matrixed organization. Lead the supply-chain activities for upgrades, installations and relocation events in the region by being an integral part of the engineering and technical cross-functional project team. Gather ASML and the customer requirements to ensure that the high-tech machine modules, tools, parts and materials, meet required specifications, first time quality and are delivered on-time to the customer site. In between events, identify supply chain gaps, lead development of performance indicators, initiate and drive continuous improvement projects to optimize supply chain KPI's.

Role and responsibilities

  • Communicate in a matrixed organization, proactively identify supply gaps, develop an action plan to mitigate gap

  • Identify the need to escalate and follow escalation path in a timely manner

  • Decipher demand and determine best viable options to meet needs in a supply constrained environment

  • Creative real-time problem solving under extreme pressure and urgent timeline

  • Ability to complete a root cause analysis to develop a systemic solutions

  • Analyze, global supply forecast against local customer Demand & Supply planning to ensure on-time and complete material-availability at customer site

  • Ability to follow and implement standard processes but adapt as the business environment changes

  • Collaborate with the supply chain site lead to adapt to customer and site specific needs

  • Influence change to the supply planning for your customer site when the demand analysis doesn't align with global supply projections.

  • Drive competence and standardization within the Customer Supply Chain roadmap for EXE installs and upgrades

  • Partner with the key stakeholders, project leaders, engineering and account teams, and central teams to influence the action and results required.

  • Develop operational plan supporting the event in the field, i.e. material demand & supply, people and resources, local constraints and infrastructure

  • Execute plan while closely monitoring, evaluating and reporting performance KPI's to stakeholders

  • Identify, initiate and collaborate to drive improvements

  • Work closely with 3PL, dock coordinators, and the In-Fab Logistics team to manage all material-flows to, from and inside the customer factory

Education and experience

  • Bachelor's Degree (e.g. Industrial Engineering & Management Science, Business Administration, Supply chain or Engineering) or equivalent.

Experience:

  • 1+ years of relevant field experience in a complex customer oriented (logistics) environment.

  • Bachelors in Business Engineering or Supply Chain required, or equivalent experience accepted

  • Knowledge of business complexity, supply chain and/or relevant industry.

Other information

This position requires access to controlled technology, as defined in the Export Administration Regulations (15 C.F.R. * 730, et seq.). Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to access such controlled technology prior to beginning work. Business demands may require ASML to proceed with candidates who are immediately eligible to access controlled technology.

  • You must be authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship.

  • Position is stationed in Hillsboro, OR

  • This position is reporting to the CSCM Scheduled Event US Regional Manager

  • Geographic primary responsibilities: USA

  • Travel possible (Domestic/International)

  • Remain flexible in providing after hours support, as needed

  • Strong interfaces with other supply chain departments, ASML Factories, Central Planning, Field offices, Account Team and Customer Service departments will be required.
