Yamhill County Health and Human Services has multiple temporary, part-time/on-call positions available for Human Services Associates to provide coverage when additional staffing is needed. This position works with individuals with serious mental illness or co-occurring mental health and addictions challenges who reside in our crisis respite or supported housing programs and/or participate on the community-integrated work crews for treatment and rehabilitation purposes. Responsibilities include providing supportive counseling, individual and group skills training, rehabilitative janitorial work group supervision/skills training, some case management and coordination with treatment team providers, medication monitoring and training, charting, and documentation. Work shifts will include days, swing, and weekends.

This is a non-benefitted, non-bargaining position. The position has an expected duration of up to one year.

The Qualifications
The position requires a bachelor's degree in a human services related field in addition to a combination of one year of work/relevant experience and two years' post high school education, or a high school diploma and three years' work/relevant experience in human services. Any satisfactory equivalent combination of experience and training which ensures the ability to perform the work may substitute for the above. Must have an NPI number or be able to obtain one upon employment. Must also meet QMHA/QADAC requirements per State Medicaid rule and have the ability to obtain certification as a Qualified Mental Health Associate (QMHA) upon hire. Additionally, the candidate must have the ability to secure and maintain a driver's license valid in the state of Oregon, and an acceptable driving record. Successful completion of a background check is also required.

The Candidate
The successful candidate will have excellent skills in organization, paperwork management, and communication - both verbally and in writing, in addition to typing and computer proficiency and will be dependable, organized, self-directed, detail-oriented, with the ability to interact with co-workers, clients, and the public in a courteous, professional manner. Knowledge of psychiatric medications and experience working with MAR's (Medication Administration Records) is preferred but training may be available.
